Emily Sweeney

Emily Sweeney has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as a Marketing Manager at Levy Restaurants since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Marketing Manager at SageNet from January 2020 to April 2021, where they played a key role in various marketing initiatives such as website redesign, SEO management, ad campaigns, social media and PR strategy, and managing a contact database for outreach efforts. Emily also managed partner Market Development Funds, served as a Creative Lead for tradeshows and events, and organized the Annual Sales Meeting.

Before their role at SageNet, Emily worked as a Proposal Coordinator at Horizon Industries, Limited from November 2016 to October 2017, where they were responsible for writing, editing, and formatting proposals for government contracts. Emily utilized Adobe and Microsoft programs to create and update proposal graphics and created annotated outlines based on government solicitations.

Additionally, Emily gained experience in the culinary industry as a Culinary Disciple at The Forge Pop-Up Restaurant from July 2016 to October 2016, where they worked closely with the business owner in planning, creating, and executing the menu while ensuring customer satisfaction. Emily also worked as a Dietary Cook at Retirement Unlimited Inc from June 2014 to July 2016, where they prepared and executed pastry menus for a large number of people while training new team members and maintaining kitchen equipment.

Emily's early experience includes an internship as a Proposal Intern at Exelis (now part of Harris Corporation) from June 2013 to June 2014, where they were responsible for technical writing, editing, and proofreading military technical documents. Emily also assisted in organizing and inputting data for new contracts and effectively communicated with clients using Microsoft Office programs.

Emily Sweeney earned their Bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 2013 to 2016.
