Nouman Bhatti

Nouman Bhatti is the managing director of the credit department at Libertas Funding. Nouman has over six years of experience in the credit and underwriting industry.

Bhatti started their career as a credit risk officer at First Data Corporation in 2014. In this role, they were responsible for performing credit analysis and underwriting activities for prospective commercial accounts, investigating individual accounts, assessing risk on fraud and credit risk exposures, building and implementing strategies on how to minimize and mitigate risk, coordinating risk assessment and mitigation efforts with other areas of the business, training new employees on how to read and understand patterns, negotiating collateral and/or other risk mitigation instruments as needed, and handling all escalated issues in regards to merchant calls and ISO inquiries.

In 2017, Bhatti transitioned to underwriting manager at Reliant Funding. In this role, they oversaw a team of underwriters and was responsible for reviewing and approving loan applications, setting credit limits, and making funding recommendations.

Bhatti joined Libertas Funding in 2018 as a senior underwriter. In this role, they were responsible for conducting due diligence on prospective borrowers, preparing credit analysis reports, and recommending whether or not to approve loans. Nouman was promoted to managing director of the credit department in 2020.

Nouman Bhatti has a Master of Arts in Financial Economics from City University of New York City College. Nouman also has a Bachelors in Financial Economics from the same school, where they studied finance, economics and business management.

They are on a team with David Waill - Senior Managing Director, Strategy & Credit Operations, Michael Thompson - Senior Managing Director, Head of Underwriting, and Ryan Bressler - Managing Director, Head of Business Development. Nouman Bhatti reports to Randy Saluck, CEO & General Counsel.
