Theo Laughner

Theo Laughner has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. They started their career as a Helpdesk Analyst in an undisclosed company and worked in that role until 2001. They then transitioned to a Programmer Analyst 4GL at TVA in May 1995 and held that position until October 2005. Subsequently, they worked as a Power System Engineer at TVA from October 2005 to December 2009, where they designed and maintained power quality systems and supported customers. From December 2009 to September 2014, Theo served as a Power Quality Specialist at TVA, mentoring staff engineers and managing vendor relationships. In September 2014, they became the Sr. Program Manager of Power Quality at TVA, responsible for overseeing the governance and execution of the power quality program and serving as a liaison between TVA and external stakeholders. In 2018, Theo joined Alchemy Global Networks as a Cyber Security Engineer until February 2020. In January 2018, they founded their own company, PowerGrid-RX Inc, where they served as the Owner until December 2020. From January to July 2020, they were also the Chief Information Officer at meshnet, LLC. Most recently, in December 2020, Theo started working at Lifescale Analytics as the Director of Engineering. Additionally, they have volunteered for the IEEE PES Communications and Cybersecurity Committee since January 2019.

Theo Laughner pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1995, they started a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Tennessee Technological University. Theo completed their high school education at Sevier County High School, obtaining a TN Honors Diploma from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, Theo Laughner has obtained certifications including "AS101 Intro to Aerospike Enterprise Edition" from Aerospike, Inc. and a Professional Engineer certification from the Tennessee Department of Insurance and Commerce.
