We are now on the hunt for an Assistant Editor who will join us in our quest to create the best possible animated content for our partners.

The start date for this role 1st July 2024.

This role is based in our studio in Kilkenny. - NO FREELANCE OPTION

Due to employment time constraints, for this role we will only be able to consider applications from residents within the EU / EU passport holders only.

The role is work on our various productions one being a feature film directed by John Schafer and Tom Bancroft and the other being an adult animation tv series.

About the role

As an assistant editor, your job is to support the editor, logging the animated material and audio as it is received and keeping detailed records. You are also responsible for assisting in the creation of animatic assemblies and supporting the overall creative process.

What you'll be doing

  • Work alongside the editor processing new material and changes to existing material

  • Manage media across the production from all departments.

  • Update timelines and export latest cuts for internal and external purposes.

  • Organise sequences and bins efficiently and effectively.

The above is not exhaustive and from time to time you may be asked to carry out other tasks.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience working as an assistant editor
  • Must have editorial experience or experience with editorial deliveries
  • Familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro editing software
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work to keep project on track
  • Attention to detail and ability to find solutions.
  • Willing to work from our Studio in Kilkenny, Ireland
