Rochus Mönter

Rochus Mönter is the current General Counsel at Lilium. Rochus has held this position since September 2018. Prior to their current role, Rochus served as Vice President Finance & Lease at Airbus from April 2009 to September 2018. Rochus has also worked as Managing Director & General Counsel at Bavaria International Aircraft Leasing (Schörghuber Corporate Group) from August 1995 to March 2009.

Rochus Mönter studied at the University of Bonn and took their first state law exam. Rochus then studied at Oberlandesgericht/ Higher District Court Düsseldorf and took their second state law exam. Afterwards, they pursued a licentiate in international transactions involving the United States at the University of California, Davis - School of Law. Finally, they received their Diplome d’Etudes Francaises from Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III for studies of the French language, history, and literature.

Rochus Mönter reports to Daniel Wiegand, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Lauren Zwierlein - Head of Finance, Dominique Decard - VP Airlines & Accountable Manager, and Patrick Nathen - Co-Founder and VP Product.
