Patrick Wahlen

Patrick Wahlen has a wealth of experience in the welding industry, primarily working for Lincoln Electric. Their current role is Vice President Global Alloys & Additive Solutions, which they started in September 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President Global Alloys and Cored Wires from September 2021 to September 2023.

Before their international roles, Wahlen was Vice President Consumables BU and Export and Managing Director of Lincoln Electric Smitweld for four years from April 2019 to February 2023.

Patrick also served as Vice President Consumables EMEAR from October 2017 to March 2019.

Wahlen's earlier experience includes the role of Managing Director at Lincoln Electric (Aust) Pty Ltd, where they were in charge from July 2013 to October 2017.

Patrick began their career at Lincoln Electric in 1989 as a Technical Sales Representative before taking on various roles including Regional Manager - Southern Africa, President Managing Director - Lincoln Electric do Brasil, and finally as Global Business Director - Process and Power Generation from July 2006 to June 2013.

Patrick Wahlen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics Nuclear from Purdue University in the years 1983-1988. Patrick then pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics Nuclear from the same university in the years 1988-1989. At some point, they also studied International Business at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, although the dates and degree obtained are unknown.
