Luis Cunha

Luis Cunha is an experienced engineer and consultant with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Luis currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Lineat Composites, where they oversee the engineering department. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Engineer at Lineat Composites.

Before joining Lineat Composites, Luis worked as a Freelance Design & Engineering Consultant at LC, providing consulting services for various design and engineering projects. Luis also worked at the University of Bristol as a Research Associate in electro-mechanical design of composite manufacturing processes. Additionally, they served as a Mechatronics Design Engineer at the University of Bristol.

Luis gained valuable experience as a Product Development Engineer / Production Manager at ASAP WATER CRAFTS LIMITED, where they played a crucial role in developing and manufacturing portable, battery-powered watercraft. Luis Cunha's education history begins with their high school education at E.B.I. Fernando Casimiro Pereira da Silva from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Luis then attended Chipping Sodbury Specialist Technology School from 2003 to 2004, studying Business Administration and Management, General.

In 2004, Luis enrolled in City of Bristol College (Brunel Centre) for two years, focusing on Computing and Networking. After completing their studies there in 2006, they took a break from formal education.

Luis returned to pursue their higher education in 2015 at The Open University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) (Honours) degree in Engineering. Luis'sstudies at The Open University continued until 2021.

Alongside their education, Luis obtained a certification as a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in September 2019 from The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
