Don Ruff

Principal Systems Engineer at LinQuest

Don Ruff has extensive work experience in the field of systems engineering and architecture. Don worked at LinQuest as a Principal Systems Engineer from 2015 onwards. Prior to that, they were a Principal Enterprise Architect at Serco from 2014 to 2015, where they developed service-oriented architectures and standards for the Army CIO/G-6 Network Operations. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Contract Engineer for The Mitre Corporation at GCR Professional Services, where they developed operational models and DoDAF products.

Don also worked at Serco - North America from 2005 to 2012 as a Senior Enterprise Architect, focusing on Space Mission Operations and Space Situational Awareness. Don was a System Engineer at General Dynamics from 2002 to 2005, supporting the Air Force Space Command XOCO. From 1998 to 2002, they served as the Command Lead for the Deep Space Tracking System at HQ AFSPC/DOYZ (AFSPC), where they developed and updated Concepts of Operations. Don started their career in the United States Air Force, where they held various positions from 1989 to 1998, including NCO Standardization and Evaluation and Missile Warning Center Instructor.

Don Ruff has an Associate's Degree in Space Operations Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Don also has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems Management from Colorado Christian University. In addition to their degrees, Don Ruff has obtained certifications in OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional: Model User (OCSMP) from OMG in 2019 and TOGAF 9 from The Open Group in 2014.
