Global Head Of Algorithms at Liquidnet

Scott Kartinen has extensive experience in the financial industry. Scott started their career as a Client Consultant at Barra in 1996 and worked there until 1998. Scott then joined Lafayette Capital Management as an Equity Portfolio Manager from 1998 to 2000. After that, they worked at Credit Suisse First Boston as an Assistant Vice President in Quantitative Analytics for a brief period of time in 2000. Later in 2000, they joined ITG, Inc. and served as a Managing Director in Algorithmic Trading until 2011. At ITG, they were responsible for global product management of portfolio and pairs trading algorithms, client execution analysis and consulting, and managing pre-trade and portfolio construction products. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at UBS as an Executive Director in Algorithmic Trading. Currently, they hold the position of Global Head of Algorithms at Liquidnet, a position they have held since November 2014.

Scott Kartinen completed their Master of Business Administration in Finance from Texas McCombs School of Business from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Dual Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from Webb Institute between 1990 and 1994. Furthermore, Scott Kartinen attended New York University for an Advance Management Program (AMP) in executive leadership, management, strategic planning, and organizational effectiveness.
