Soma Venkat, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Most recently, they have served as the SVP & Chief Information Technology Officer at Cooper Standard since September 2021. Prior to that, Venkat held the role of Director Board Of Directors at Liveline Technologies from January 2020.

Venkat also has experience as the Chief Information & Digital Officer at IXS Coatings, a Clearlake company, where they were responsible for providing vehicle upfit services and coating solutions to various markets such as automotive, construction, defense, and industrial. They joined IXS Coatings in January 2021 and held the position until September 2021.

Before their tenure at IXS Coatings, Venkat worked at Cooper Standard as the Global Vice President of Information Technology from January 2016 to December 2020.

Earlier in their career, Venkat worked as the Director of Technology at ProQuest from February 1997 to March 2008, where they played a pivotal role in the company's financial turnaround and implemented technology strategies to support revenue growth. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Consultant at Vega Consulting Solutions from June 1996 to February 1997.

Venkat began their career at Oracle Corporation as a Senior Consultant, where they contributed to the development of Oracle Environmental and Oracle Health & Safety products and provided client support. They worked at Oracle from January 1995 to May 1996.

Soma Venkat, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in computational mathematics. In 1995, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in computational mathematics from the University of Windsor. Prior to this, they completed their Master of Science degree in computational mathematics from the same university.

Soma Venkat also pursued further education in the field of management and marketing. Soma attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they completed the Executive Management Program in Strategic Marketing and obtained a Strategic Marketing Certificate.
