Ian Murphy

Ian Murphy has a wealth of work experience in the cyber security industry. Ian began their career in 2006 as the Founder and Director of PragmaticDefence Ltd. In 2010, they took on a role as an Information Assurance Consultant (Contractor) at Symantec, and then a Lead Information Assurance and Security Architect Consultant (Contractor) at CSC Consulting. In 2012, they became the Head of Security Business Development QLD at Dimension Data, and also took on a role as a Security Solution Architect Consultant (Contractor) at HP Enterprise Services. In 2011, they became the Director of Research (Volunteer) at the Cloud Security Alliance - UK & Ireland Chapter. In 2017, they became the Principal Security Architect (Contractor) at DXC Technology, and also the Co-Founder and Vice President - Europe, Middle East and Africa at LMNTRIX. In 2021, they became the Founder at CyberOff.

Ian Murphy attended Liverpool John Moores University from 1991 to 1994, where they earned a HND in Electronic Engineering. In 2003, they obtained a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)². In 2012, they obtained a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and Fellow BCS (FBCS) from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
