Dia Simms has an extensive work experience. In 2006, they were the Chief of Staff at Bad Boy Entertainment. From 2007 to 2015, they held the position of EVP, General Manager at Blue Flame Marketing + Advertising. In 2015, Simms became the Divisional President at Combs Wine & Spirits | a Sean Combs Company. In 2017, they were selected as the first President of Combs Enterprises, where they implemented a new cultural vision and a refreshed strategic planning process. In 2016, Simms joined Thread, Inc. as a Board Member. In 2015, they founded Hands, LLC. In 2020, they joined the Board of Directors at TILT Holdings and became the Chief Executive Officer at Lobos1707.

Dia Simms has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Morgan State University and a Master's degree in Management and Contract Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
