Vice President Of Production at Locus Fermentation Solutions

Scott Weber has extensive experience in various roles related to production and product development in the agricultural and bio-energy industry. Scott is currently serving as the Vice President of Production at Locus Fermentation Solutions since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Product Development at Locus Agricultural Solutions (Locus AG) starting from January 2022. Scott also served as the Production Director at Locus AG from June 2020 to January 2022.

Before their tenure at Locus, Weber worked as the Vice President of Production and Production Director at Locus Bio-Energy Solutions from October 2021 to June 2022 and March 2020 to October 2021, respectively.

Weber's earlier work experience includes serving as a Consultant at Microferm from June 2018 to March 2020, Microbiology Production Manager at Advanced Biological Marketing from June 2015 to June 2018, and Microbiology Laboratory Manager at Advanced Biological Marketing from July 2014 to June 2015.

Weber started their career as a Microbiology Researcher at USDA-ARS, NCAUR in October 2006, where they focused on developing stress-tolerant yeast strains for lignocellulosic ethanol production, performing fermentation experiments for agricultural biomass to ethanol conversion, and researching gene expression of stress-tolerant organisms. Scott worked at USDA-ARS until June 2014.

Scott Weber pursued their undergraduate education from 1999 to 2004 at Western Illinois University. During this period, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. Later, in 2015 and 2016, Scott attended Villanova University and obtained a certificate in the field of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt by completing the Master Certificate program.
