Pernille Bærendtsen currently serves as a Language Teacher at Lolland Kommune, starting in August 2023. Previously, Pernille was a PhD Student at Copenhagen Business School from November 2019 to February 2023. An independent journalist for eight years at dunia duara, Pernille covered various assignments across multiple countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, Serbia, and Denmark. Additional roles include Long Term Substitute Teacher at Skolen på Amagerbro, Media Trainer for Deutsche Welle, Art Curator at the Museum of African Art in Belgrade, and Project Coordinator at Københavns Kommune. Education includes a Master’s Degree in African Studies from the University of Copenhagen and various training programs in journalism and language instruction. Pernille specializes in developing training programs, coordinating activities within civil society, producing diverse communication materials, and conducting interviews and research.
