George Blake

George Blake is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in student engagement and policy advocacy. Currently serving as a Policy and Networks Officer at London Higher since January 2024, George previously excelled as the Democracy and Student Engagement Coordinator at Union Of Brunel Students, where key responsibilities included leading democratic services and conducting comprehensive reviews in collaboration with various stakeholders. Demonstrating leadership capabilities, George held the position of President (CEO) at Keele Postgraduate Association from June 2017 to July 2019, managing an organization with around twenty staff members and a significant annual turnover. Earlier in the career, George worked as an Associate Consultant at Spirit Resourcing Group, specializing in recruitment within the Food, Drink, Sales, and Supply Chain sectors. George holds a Master’s degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature, both from Keele University, along with a comprehensive educational background from Bancroft's School.
