Winnie Soon

Winnie Soon is an accomplished academic with extensive expertise in Art and Technology, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Director of UG Art and Technology at UCL Slade School of Fine Art since March 2024. As a Visiting Researcher at London South Bank University, Winnie is affiliated with the Centre for the Study of the Networked Image. Previous roles include Associate Professor at Aarhus University, where Winnie taught courses on Aesthetic Programming and Digital Culture, supervised numerous thesis projects, and published works on software studies. Additionally, experience includes leadership positions at UAL Creative Computing Institute and Goldsmiths, University of London, along with contributions as a co-founder of the non-profit art group InNoPO. Winnie holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from Aarhus University, along with master's degrees in Digital Art and Technology from the University of Plymouth and Media Cultures from City University of Hong Kong.
