Tyler John

Tyler John currently serves as the Emerging Technology Governance Programme Officer at Longview Philanthropy, leading grantmaking efforts in AI policy since November 2020. In addition, Tyler holds the position of Head of Research at the Legal Priorities Project and was a Research Affiliate at Rutgers University from August 2016 to January 2022. Earlier research experience includes a role as a Doctoral Student at the National Institutes of Health in the Department of Bioethics from September 2014 to August 2016. Tyler also completed a Medicinal Chemistry Internship at Endo Pharmaceuticals in 2012, contributing to drug discovery and development efforts. Tyler earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Philosophy from Rutgers University in January 2022.
