Will Adams

Will Adams has a diverse range of work experience, spanning various roles and industries. Their most recent position is as the Controller at X, the moonshot factory, where they are responsible for financial management and leads the finance team. Prior to that, they worked as a Controller at Google.

Before joining X and Google, Will held the position of Head of Finance and Controller at Revolut, where they played a key role in establishing the finance, accounting, and treasury functions for the company's growth in the US. Their responsibilities included financial reporting, budgeting, and leading initiatives related to diversity and inclusion.

Will also has experience in the technology and finance sectors, having worked at Uber as a Senior Manager in M&A Finance & Integration and as the Global Fixed Asset Accounting Manager. Will was involved in significant acquisition integration projects and financial analysis.

Additionally, Will has prior experience as an Accounting Manager and Lead Senior Accountant at Pattern Energy Group Inc., where they contributed to financial management and analysis.

Earlier in their career, Will worked at Credit Suisse as a Senior Accountant, where they specialized in Prime Services Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) and Index desk and implemented process improvements and controls. Will was also part of a rotation program within Product Control and the CFO Division of the Investment Bank.

Before joining Credit Suisse, Will gained experience as a Tax Senior at Grant Thornton UK LLP, where they focused on UK corporation tax compliance and advisory services. Will also had an assignment as an Assistant International Tax Manager at ACE Group during their time at Grant Thornton.

Will Adams completed their Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London, from 2005 to 2008. Will then pursued a degree in Chartered Accountancy, starting in 2008, from ICAEW, where they obtained the title of Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA). Will continued their education in the field of Chartered Accountancy at ICAEW, which is expected to be completed in 2023, resulting in the title of Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).

In 2017, Will Adams attended a short-term program in Strategy and Leadership at Harvard Business School Executive Education. Additionally, in 2014, they earned an Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning & Analysis from the London School of Business and Finance LSBF.

Outside of their formal education, Will Adams obtained several certifications. In 2012, they received the ACA (ICAEW) certification, which is recognized as the UK equivalent of CPA. Furthermore, in 2014, they obtained an Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning & Analysis from the London School of Business & Finance (LSBF). More recently, in 2019, they became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance.
