About us: 

Looper Insights is a fast-growing scale up in the Video on Demand (VoD) industry focused on providing data and insights across Connected TV (CTV) and web stores. Our B2B SaaS analytics has been licensed by many of the big Global streamers and Hollywood studios in the last 18 months. We are about to go after a new untapped market. 

  

Our product is an innovative and unique SaaS analytics solution, presenting data captured by our own hardware and software. We analyse product positioning for any app, content and streaming service shown in the digital User Interface (UI) of connected devices.  

  

Clients need visibility of their products to create promotions that drive their sales, views, customer acquisition and help reduce customer churn in the hyper competitive world of streaming services. We are the first mover in this new category. 

  

We have established data labs in 21 countries to collect data and analyse insights on Film and TV placement. We provide data for marketers to get full visibility on the correlation between promotions, sales spikes, ROI on promotions and insights they can use to plan strategies and tactics which improve their overall ROI. Our clients include VoD stores, Film/TV Studios and Broadcasters. 

The role: 

The Product Owner is responsible for defining and prioritising the product backlog, working closely with the Development Team & product management to deliver a valuable and high-quality product. This role involves understanding business goals, user needs and market trends to make informed decisions about what features to build and in what order. This role also takes a lead in the efficient and effective delivery of the engineering teams, ensuring deadlines are met and team velocity is maintained at a high level 

The key aspects of this role: 

  • Take the lead scrum teams as the Product Owner

  • Creating detailed, well-formed requirements

  • Plan, prioritise and groom product feature backlog and development of the product

  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories and epics to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

  • Work closely with Product management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI

  • Work closely with an Architect to ensure the best and most efficient solutions are implemented and created atomic stories have enough technical details for Developers

  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectations for delivery of new functionalities

  • Provide an active role mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

  • Research and analyse market, the users and the roadmap for the product

  • Follow our competitors and the industry

  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practises and new trends

  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile Development Team and stakeholders throughout a given project

What we're looking for: 

  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with project management and product management tolls (e.g. JIRA, Trello)
  • Previous experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in Agile development
  • In-depth knowledge of the Media and Broadcast market
  • High level understanding of technology underpinning the product portfolio
