Josh Skinner

Josh Skinner has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Josh currently works as a Senior Product Designer at Loop since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Professor at Centennial College since 2017, where they educated students in design thinking and collaborated with other educators to enhance the course content. From 2020 to 2022, Josh worked as a Senior Product Designer at Lever, leading initiatives to make the design system scalable and redesigning data visualization for the Visual Insights product. Before that, they were a Product Designer at BMO Financial Group from 2019 to 2020, driving the development of the Account Opening product and improving the user experience. Additionally, they worked as a Visual Designer at BMO Financial Group from 2017 to 2019, focusing on user research and visual design to enhance the new account application process. Prior to that, Josh worked as a Graphic Designer at Brightworks Interactive Marketing in 2017, creating unified brand experiences for clients. Josh began their career as a Senior Designer at hjc from 2014 to 2017, leading various digital and print projects and winning awards for their work. Josh also served as a Web Interface Designer at hjc from 2012 to 2014, collaborating with the creative team on projects for clients. Josh's earlier experience includes working as a UX/UI Designer at Centennial College Research and Development Centre from 2011 to 2012, where they designed an educational app and mentored design students. Josh Skinner completed their education in graphic design at Centennial College. Josh obtained an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Certificate in Art & Design Foundation Studies from 2009 to 2010, also at Centennial College. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Registered Graphic Designer from the RGD - Association of Registered Graphic Designers in August 2016.
