Vegar Bøthun

Vegar Bøthun has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT and consulting industries. Vegar is currently serving as the Group CIO at Løvenskiold Handel AS since December 2022. Prior to this, they were the Global Head of IT at Höegh Autoliners Management AS from August 2015 to December 2022. Vegar has also worked as a Senior Client Director at Cognizant from November 2014 to August 2015 and as the VP Information Technology at Couche-Tard from August 2012 to October 2014. Vegar has also held the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA from September 2010 to July 2012. Before that, Vegar served as the Head of Strategy & Portfolio and Project Execution at Statoil ASA from April 2009 to August 2010. Vegar has also worked as a Managing Consultant at PA Consulting Group from September 2000 to March 2009. Vegar started their career as a Part-time employee investment adviser at Jysk Fondsmæglerselskab A/S in February 1999 and has held various part-time roles at NetCom and Nycomed Pharma before that.

Vegar Bøthun completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 1998. Vegar then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Aarhus University between 1998 and 2000. Additionally, in 1997, they briefly studied Business Administration and Management, General, earning a Bachelor's degree from an institution called invalid15092744.
