Duane Chapman

Duane Chapman's work experience begins in 1992, where they worked as a Programmer for Burak Jacobson Research Partners Inc. From 1994 to 1996, they worked as a Customer Support Representative at McCarthy Tétrault. Duane then moved on to RDS Tasks International Inc, where they worked as a Sr. Systems Integrator/Developer from 1996 to 1999. In 1999, Duane joined LoyaltyOne as a Sr. Technical Lead, responsible for AIX and Solaris administration. Duane then took on various roles at LoyaltyOne, including Sr. Manager, Platform Services, Director, Platform Services, and Director, Production Systems. Their roles included leading teams and being accountable for ITIL Best Practices and operational efficiency. In 2013, Duane became the Associate Vice President, Infrastructure and Production Systems at LoyaltyOne, where they integrated security into daily operations and implemented an Information Technology Governance Control framework. Duane also implemented an AWS account management framework for DevOps teams.

Duane Chapman's education history includes multiple certificates and courses. In 1989, they attended Sheridan College and studied Computer Science Technology Co-op until 1992. In 2007, they enrolled at the University of Toronto and completed a Certificate in Business Management Fundamentals between 2007 and 2010. In 2016, Duane took the CISSP Preparatory Course at Ryerson University. Duane then obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in July 2016. Most recently, in 2019 and 2020, Duane attended the University of Toronto again and earned a Certificate in Cyber Security Management, focusing on Cyber Security Management.
