Denise Asafu-Adjei, MD, MPH, has extensive experience in the field of urology with a particular focus on male reproductive medicine. Denise is currently serving as the Director of Male Reproductive Medicine at Loyola Medicine, where they specialize in the medical and surgical management of male factor infertility and sexual dysfunction. In addition, they conduct clinical research on access to care for erectile dysfunction and infertility services.
Prior to their current role, Dr. Asafu-Adjei completed an Andrology Fellowship in the Department of Urology at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2021. Before that, they served as a Resident Physician in Urology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from 2014 to 2020.

Denise then attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. In 2009, they enrolled at the University of Michigan Medical School and completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 2014. During their medical studies, they pursued postgraduate education at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 2012 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health Policy and Management. Additionally, Denise Asafu-Adjei has obtained certification as a Board Certified Urologist from the American Board of Urology, with the year of certification being 2023.
