Heather Wheeler is an accomplished Associate Professor at Loyola University Chicago, specializing in human genetics, bioinformatics, and computational biology since July 2015. Previously, Wheeler served as a Research Professional at The University of Chicago, focusing on computational human genomics research, and held a Postdoctoral Fellow position involving collaborations with M. Eileen Dolan and Nancy J. At Stanford University School of Medicine, Wheeler completed a PhD in Genetics, conducting research on human genetics of aging and gene expression, and previously worked as a Graduate Student in Stuart K. Kim's laboratory. Additional experience includes teaching introductory genetics at UC Berkeley Extension and conducting research in forensic biology and latent print evidence for the FBI and the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
