OVERALL PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is seeking to gain experience in the FinTech industry. You will be joining a growing Business Development Team where you will be exposed to various opportunities and processes.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has a good understanding of the payments landscape within South Africa. You will work closely with the Lulapay Team to develop, implement, and manage an end-to-end sales process to attract, onboard, and nurture partners for one of Lula’s latest innovative products, Lulapay.

Lulapay partners with B2B distributors and suppliers in order to offer flexible terms to their customers on invoices and statements. You will be the driving force in helping Lulapay scale quickly and successfully through partnerships.

Responsibilities will span from research and lead generation to cold outreach, onboarding and account management. High-level tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Lulapay product and operational processes.
  • Investigate and pinpoint key industries and markets suitable for targeting.
  • Establish and manage a continuous flow of potential leads.
  • Initiate outreach efforts through cold calling, emailing, and networking to effectively recruit and onboard partners.
  • Cultivate strong relationships to foster growth with each partner.
  • Deliver regular feedback internally to support ongoing enhancement of the Lulapay product.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably within complex tech sales
  • Ability to conduct successful industry and market research
  • Experience in generating leads through manual and automated means
  • Proof of successful track record of cold calling and various other outreach methods
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to work independently
