Ziyang Chen is a research scientist at Luma AI since June 2025, with a solid background in computer vision research. Between September 2019 and June 2025, Ziyang served as a graduate research assistant at the University of Michigan, focusing on sound-inferred geometric properties and developing a self-supervised localization method. In addition to academic experience, Ziyang held research scientist intern positions at Adobe and Meta, contributing to projects such as video-guided Foley generation. Prior to this, Ziyang worked as a research assistant applying algorithms to advertising problems, and as a teaching assistant for courses on digital integrated circuits and electronic circuits at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Ziyang holds a PhD in Computer Vision and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the University of Michigan.
