Shankar Nagalingam has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in human resources. Shankar is currently serving as the Global/APAC Vice President of Human Resources at Lumileds, where they drive HR strategy and leads talent acquisition and development initiatives. Prior to this, they worked as the Global Vice President and General Manager at Clarivate, where they established the Penang Centre of Excellence and formulated talent growth strategies that resulted in significant expansion and improved hiring velocity. Shankar also held leadership positions at IHS Markit and Dell, where they were responsible for optimizing shared services centers, standardizing workflows, and developing HR strategies aligned with business goals. Earlier in their career, they worked at Western Digital as a Human Resources Manager, overseeing staffing, compensation, and performance management. Shankar began their career as a District Counselor at the Ministry of Education, where they provided counseling and mentoring to students. Throughout their career, Shankar Nagalingam has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a proven track record in driving organizational growth and transformation.

Shankar Nagalingam holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia, obtained in 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at the same institution from 1988 to 1992. Shankar also attended St Xavier's Institution, Penang in 1988 and La Salle Secondary School, Penang from 1984 to 1986. In 2004, they pursued another Master of Business Administration degree at the University Science Malaysia, specializing in Change Management. Additionally, Shankar recently obtained certification as a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci in 2023.
