Dan Harshbarger

Dan Harshbarger is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in electronic systems and hardware design. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering - Hardware Design at Luminar Technologies since January 2021, Dan manages a team responsible for the development of advanced LiDAR sensor electronics. Prior to this role, Dan held several leadership positions at Cummins Inc. from June 2006 to January 2021, including Director of Advanced Development, where oversight of a global team and multimillion-dollar budgets resulted in strategic technology advancements. Experience also includes roles at Delphi Automotive Systems as a Senior Project Engineer, focusing on the electrical design of Engine Control Modules. Dan holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
