Paul Leisher

Paul Leisher is a highly experienced professional in the fields of research, engineering, and education, currently serving as the Vice President of Research at Luminar Technologies since April 2022. Prior to this role, Paul held various significant positions including Vice President of Research and Director of Advanced Lasers at Freedom Photonics LLC, and Chief Engineer for Diode Lasers at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Additionally, Paul operated Leisher Consulting, offering expertise in semiconductor lasers and optical system design, while also serving as an Associate Professor at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
