Leysan Khakimova Storie

Leysan Khakimova Storie is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of communication, currently serving as the Director of the MA in Politics and Society of the Contemporary Middle East and Assistant Professor at Lund University since August 2019. Prior experience includes an assistant professorship at Zayed University and a PhD candidacy at the University of Maryland, where responsibilities encompassed teaching, advising students, and conducting research in public relations and public diplomacy. Leysan has a robust educational background, holding a PhD in Communication, an MA in Intercultural Communication and Conflict Resolution, and a BA in Arabic language and literature. Additional experience includes internships with the United Nations and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, as well as management roles in the hospitality industry and volunteer leadership with the European Baha'i Youth Council.
