Kelsey van Haaster has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kelsey started their career at Monash University, where they served as a Business Analyst and Project Coordinator. During their time there, they contributed to the implementation of the Blackboard Learning Management System and conducted research on educational tools.
Following their stint at Monash University, Kelsey worked as a Business Analyst at QSR International, where they contributed to the development of NVivo qualitative data analysis software.
Kelsey then joined Oakton as a Consultant/Senior Business Analyst before moving on to Education Services Australia, where they served as a Senior Business Analyst.
Kelsey's next role was at Charles Sturt University, where they worked as a Subject Coordinator and Assisting Lecturer, delivering courses on information technology and multimedia.
In 2012, Kelsey took on the role of Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner at ResearchMaster Pty Ltd. There, they played a key role in transitioning the organization's key product offering from a desktop application to a web-based platform, while also implementing Agile methodologies.
After their tenure at ResearchMaster Pty Ltd, Kelsey joined ThoughtWorks as a Lead Consultant and Principal Consultant - Product Owner Identity. In these roles, they led diverse projects, including developing microservices for a digital media client and restructuring product development for a financial services organization.
In 2022, Kelsey joined Okta as a Solutions Architect, where they worked until 2023.
Currently, Kelsey holds the position of Senior Information Technology Manager at Lyka since 2023.
Throughout their career, Kelsey has showcased their expertise in information technology, Agile methodologies, and business analysis, demonstrating their ability to deliver successful projects and drive organizational growth.
Kelsey van Haaster has pursued a diverse education history. From 1994 to 2001, Kelsey attended Monash University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computing. Following this, from 2002 to 2004, Kelsey pursued an Honours degree in Computing at the same university. Continuing the academic journey, Kelsey enrolled at Monash University from 2003 to 2005 and completed a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2014, Kelsey attended Charles Sturt University and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Computing Research with a focus on Information Technology.
To enhance professional expertise, Kelsey has also earned multiple certifications. These include the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA, obtained in May 2023, and the CIDPRO™ Certified - Foundation Level from IDPro®, achieved in August 2022. Moreover, Kelsey holds various certifications obtained in different years, such as Okta Certified Administrator and Okta Certified Professional (both obtained in April and August 2017, respectively) from Okta, Inc., Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner (both obtained in October 2013) from the International Scrum Institute, and Certified Access Management Specialist (CAMS)® from the Identity Management Institute, acquired in September 2017. Additionally, Kelsey has attained certifications related to Google Cloud, including the Professional Collaboration Engineer and the Professional Google Workspace Administrator (both obtained in February 2022).
Kelsey's dedication to continuous learning is evident through recent educational endeavors. Currently, Kelsey is attending Harvard Business School Online and pursuing a Certificate in Strategy Execution, scheduled to be completed in 2021.
