Saumya Singh-Moorthy, PMP

Saumya Singh-Moorthy, PMP has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Saumya is currently working at Lyndra Therapeutics as an Associate Director, with previous roles including Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, Scientist II, Scientist, and Associate Scientist. Saumya'sresponsibilities at Lyndra Therapeutics include overseeing project management and ensuring the successful execution of drug development programs.

Prior to their current position, Saumya worked at Pii (Pharmaceutics International, Inc.) as a Formulation Scientist. Here, they gained experience in formulation development, excipient compatibility studies, and handling tableting and coating equipment.

Saumya also worked at AMRI (Albany Molecular Research Inc.) as a Scientist specializing in polymorph screening and designing crystallization processes. Additionally, they worked at Procter & Gamble Co. Advanced Testing Laboratory as part of the Formulation R&D team.

Saumya's earlier work experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at St. John's University, where they worked on a project funded by Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., and as a Research Trainee at Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, where they contributed to the design and evaluation of a novel formulation. Furthermore, they gained experience in M.Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, working on the design and evaluation of a gastroretentive oral controlled-release formulation.

Saumya's career began as an undergraduate at Seth G.L.Bihani College, and they also completed a summer internship at Idma Laboratories Ltd/An Idma Group Company, where they acquired basic skills in cGMP-compliant production and analysis.

Saumya Singh-Moorthy, PMP, has a strong education background in pharmacy and industrial pharmacy. Saumya completed their Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at Seth G. L. Bihani S.D. College of Technical Education in India from 2002 to 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Pharmacy with a specialization in Pharmaceutics at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2007 to 2009. Saumya furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Industrial Pharmacy from St. John's University from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Saumya has also obtained several certifications related to project management and the pharmaceutical industry. Saumya achieved their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2022. Saumya also completed a Project Management course from Cornell University in January 2022. Additionally, Saumya obtained a Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS) Pharmaceuticals Certification from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society in August 2014.
