Martin H. has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Martin has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

In 1988, Martin started their career as a Software Engineer at HP. Martin then moved on to Hewlett-Packard as a Technical Team Lead from 1992 to 1994, a Technical Architect from 1994 to 1996, a Business Development & Account Manager from 1996 to 1998, and finally, a Product Manager for Mobile and Unified Messaging from 1998 to 2000.

After their time at Hewlett-Packard, Martin worked at Tegic Communications as a Technical Product and Marketing Manager. Martin'sresponsibilities included working on T9, Predictive text input, and AIM & ICQ mobile instant messaging in the EMEA and North America regions.

From 2003 to 2008, Martin worked at AOL, where they held the positions of Senior & Principal Product/Business Manager and later as the Director for Mobile International Product Management, overseeing mobile internet services, messaging, web, music, and search in Europe, APAC, and North America.

Martin then moved on to co-found SlipStream in 2009, a technology and business innovation incubator, where they served as Director and Co-Founder until 2012. During this time, they also co-founded Connect TV, a company that provided innovative services to content providers to access Freeview audiences.

Afterward, Martin joined GSMA in 2010 as the Director of Technology - Mobile for Development. Martin worked on various mobile products and services, including agriculture, health, mobile money, analytics, disaster response, gender equality, eLearning, crowd-sourced funding, utilities, and digital inclusion. Martin remained with GSMA until 2016.

In 2017, Martin became the VP Telecoms at Lynk (formerly Ubiquitilink Inc.), where they oversaw the successful completion of space-to-ground tests for providing global connectivity using low-earth-orbit nanosatellites.

Prior to their other roles, Martin founded Tumika Ltd in 2009, where they provided independent mobiles for development consulting, working with NGOs and private industry partners to deliver frontline digital services.

Martin H. has a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. Martin also holds a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University. Additionally, Martin H. has studied Product Management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
