Julian Waits

Julian Waits has a long and varied career in the cybersecurity industry. In 2021, they began serving as the SVP & Executive in Residence at Rapid7. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Board of Advisors and GM Cyber BU & Public Sector and GM Cyber Business Unit at Devo from 2018 to 2021. From 2017 to 2021, they served as a Board Director at Lynx Technology Partners, Inc. and as an Advisor at NopSec from 2018 to 2021. From 2016 to 2021, they were the Chief Executive Officer at SAIFE, Inc. and from 2015 to 2021 they were the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Advisory Board Member at Cyversity. In 2022, they became a Member Board of Directors at PIXM and from 2014 to 2021 they were an Advisory Board Member at National Cybersecurity STEM Education (NICE). Finally, from 2015 to 2016 they were the President & CEO at PivotPoint Risk Analytics.

Julian Waits attended John Ehret High School from 1979 to 1983, earning a Diploma in General Studies. Julian then attended Xavier University of Louisiana from 1983 to 1987, earning a BA in Music. Julian also attended Loyola University New Orleans from 1983 to 1988, earning a Music degree in Jazz Performance.
