Tal Barak-Manela

Tal Barak-Manela has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Tal is currently working as the Head of Engineering at Lynx.MD, starting in May 2023. Prior to this, they were involved in a stealth mode project as a Co-Founder starting in November 2021. From May 2022 to April 2023, Tal worked as the Head of R&D at VOOM Insurance.

Tal's earlier experience includes working at Capacity from May 2020 to July 2021, where they held the position of Director of Engineering. In this role, they led and managed the entire engineering department, oversaw various teams, and contributed to the development and maintenance of a SaaS product using a range of technologies. Before that, they served as the Front End Team Lead at Capacity from June 2019 to May 2020, where they managed the front-end team, maintained CI/CD pipelines, and implemented a testing framework.

Prior to their time at Capacity, Tal worked as the Lead UX Engineer at Volley, a software engineering firm, from January 2019 to April 2019. Tal also gained extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack at Partek Inc. from 2011 to 2018. Tal started their career at CCC Information Services as a Software Engineer in the UI Group from April 2008 to May 2011.

Before transitioning into software engineering, Tal worked as an Assistant Web Developer at Chicago GSB from September 2007 to April 2008. Tal also served as a Software Engineer at HP - Mercury from February 2006 to March 2007 and as a Fraud Analyst at RSA - Cyota from February 2005 to January 2006.

Tal Barak-Manela has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Economics from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo, which was obtained between the years 2002 and 2005. Additionally, Tal holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, which was completed during the period of 2007 to 2008.
