Mark Johnson

Mark Johnson began their work experience in 2004 as a Preparator at Cheim and Read. Mark then worked as a Head Preparator at Barbara Mathes Gallery Inc from 2006 to 2008. In 2010, they joined The Contemporary Austin as the Head Preparator and Operations Manager until 2012. After that, they served as the Director of Operations at UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they joined the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, where they held the roles of Facility Rental Manager from 2015 to 2016 and Director of Guest Experience from 2016 to 2020. Most recently, they became an Art Handler at Patrick Sheehy Fine Art Services in 2020, and currently holds the same position at M.S. Rau as of April 2022.

Mark Johnson received their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Before that, in 1997 to 1998, they attended the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on Business without obtaining a specific degree.
