Johan Heemskerk

Johan Heemskerk has extensive work experience in the field of cardiovascular research. Johan started their career in 1987 at Maastricht University Medical Centre as a Principal Investigator. Johan also worked as an Assistant/Associate Professor at Maastricht University from 1994 to 2009. In 2000, they became the Principal Investigator of the Cardiovascular Research Institute of Maastricht (CARIM) at Maastricht University. Heemskerk's work experience includes postdoctoral positions in various institutions and they completed their PhD thesis at Radboud University Nijmegen in 1986.

Johan Heemskerk holds a degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Blood cells from Radbout University Nijmegen in The Netherlands.
