Vanessa Kosoy

Vanessa Kosoy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in machine learning, algorithm development, and research in artificial intelligence. Currently serving as an Executive Board Member at the Association for Long Term Existence and Resilience (ALTER) since January 2022, Vanessa has been actively involved with the Machine Intelligence Research Institute as a Research Associate since June 2015, focusing on mathematical formalization of general intelligence and value alignment. Additionally, Vanessa is a Grant Recipient from Effective Ventures to support research in AI alignment. Previous roles include ML Technical Lead at CyCognito, Co-Founder of Epicycle Technologies and Metaqube, SW Product/Group Manager at Mantis Vision, and various leadership and research positions at VisionMap and IDF. Vanessa holds an MSc in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a BSc in Pure Mathematics from Tel Aviv University.
