Paul Numan

Paul Numan is the current General Manager Corporate Services at Mackenzie District Council. Paul has over fifteen years of experience in strategic governance advice, programme management support, and financial management.

Previously, Paul was with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in New Zealand, where they served as a Principal Advisor from 2016 to 2017. In this role, they provided strategic governance advice and programme management support for the Canterbury Earthquake Horizontal Infrastructure rebuild.

Before that, Paul was the General Manager at Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) from July 2015 to March 2016, and then the Manager Programme, Performance and Reporting from May 2014 to July 2015. In both of these roles at CERA, they advised and supported the Horizontal Infrastructure Governance Group to ensure that the Crown and Council received value for money for the horizontal infrastructure rebuild after the 2010-2011 Canterbury Earthquakes.

Prior to their work with CERA, Paul was the General Manager Corporate Services and CFO at Richmond Services Limited from March 2008 to April 2014. Paul was also previously a Director at Brackenridge Estates Ltd from January 2003 to December 2008.

Paul has a wealth of experience in strategic planning, programme management, and financial management. Paul is an expert in providing advice and support to organisations undergoing large-scale change programmes.

Paul Numan has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from the University of Canterbury and a National Certificate in Commerce from Christchurch Polytechnic, both in the field of accounting and finance.
