Karen Featherstone

Karen Featherstone has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry. Karen started working as a Playwright at Theatre By The Lake in 2021. In the same year, they worked as a Writer for Naked Productions for Radio 4, where their drama series "United Kingdoms" was picked as Radio 4's Pick of the Week. Karen also worked as a Freelance Writer, with their work produced and broadcast by Channel 4, and winning the national Lloyds Bank/Channel 4 Screenwriting Challenge.

In 2022, Karen worked as a Course Leader at Theatre by the Lake and as a Freelance Animation Script Writer at Mackinnon and Saunders Ltd. In 2023, they worked as a Script Reader at the British Film Institute (BFI) and BBC COMEDY PRODUCTIONS LIMITED. Additionally, they worked as a Screenwriting Tutor at Brewery Arts, Kendal.

Karen also held the position of HETV Access Coordinator, trained by Bridge 06, although the company name is not specified.

Karen Featherstone has a postgraduate degree in Script Editing from Liverpool John Moores University, which they obtained between 2007 and 2008. Karen later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Screenwriting at LCC, University of the Arts London, completing it between 2010 and 2013.
