Susie Turan

Susie Turan has a comprehensive work experience in the food industry, starting with their current role as the Head of Product & Innovation at Macphie UK since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Bakery Specialist at Finsbury Food Group from January 2022 to January 2023. Susie also held the position of Head of R&D at Genius Foods, where they led the R&D team and successfully implemented a growth strategy focused on technology, global brand positioning, and innovation from April 2017 to September 2021. Susie has extensive experience at Unilever, starting as a Research Scientist in December 1993 and progressing to roles such as R&D Group Leader, Senior R&D Manager, and Senior Technical Project Leader.

Susie Turan completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham from 1987 to 1990. Susie then pursued further education and obtained a DPhil degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford from 1990 to 1993.
