Emily Bishop

Emily Bishop, SHRM-CP, has extensive experience in the field of human resources and administrative roles. Emily most recently served as the Director of People and Culture at Maergo, where they implemented and managed various HR systems, developed the onboarding experience for new hires, revamped the employee handbook for a remote workforce, and partnered with HR leaders and legal to develop contract templates. Prior to that, Emily worked as an executive assistant to the CEO at Maergo, where they facilitated the company's transition to Google Workspace and coordinated a company-wide leadership seminar series. Additionally, they have experience in the music industry, having played as a violinist in various orchestras and music festivals. Emily's diverse background showcases their skills in project management, communication, and organizational development.

Emily Bishop, SHRM-CP, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Violin Performance from the University of Washington in 2010. Emily then pursued a Master of Music in Violin Performance at the University of Oklahoma from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, Emily attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in 2005 and 2006. In terms of certifications, they received the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in February 2021. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in SQL for Beginner Data Analysis from Udemy in 2019 and HR Management and Analytics: Unlock the Value of Human Capital from The Wharton School.
