Michael Berryhill

Michael Berryhill has an extensive work experience in the field of security engineering and penetration testing. Michael is currently working at Magic as the Red Team Lead since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BlockFi as a Senior Security Engineer and Red Team Penetration Tester from March 2021 to June 2022. At BlockFi, they formalized the roles and responsibilities of the Red Team and conducted AWS cloud penetration tests for key enterprise applications handling crypto assets.

Before BlockFi, Michael worked at XPO Logistics, Inc. as a Principal Security Engineer from September 2019 to March 2021. Michael led the Red Team in multiple engagements, improving corporate understanding of vulnerabilities by providing comprehensive reports and recommendations.

From 2015 to 2019, they worked at CommScope as a Sr. Security Analyst, where they built and managed a penetration testing program and led a vulnerability scanning team. Michael also implemented risk management modules in Archer.

Prior to CommScope, Michael worked at Time Warner Cable as a Sr. Technical Security Engineer from August 2012 to April 2015. Michael was responsible for ensuring PCI compliance through network penetration testing and providing expertise on security vulnerabilities.

Michael started their career at Octapharma Plasma, Inc. as a Server Engineer from July 2009 to August 2012. Michael played a key role in designing disaster recovery infrastructure and performing security penetration testing.

Michael also has experience in Springs Industries as a Systems Engineer, Carolinas Healthcare System as a Project Technician, and Clemson University as a Junior Systems Administrator and Student Help Desk Consultant.
