Jessica du Toit has been working in the Quality Analyst field since 2014. Jessica began their career at Derivco as a Lead Quality Analyst, and then in 2018 joined Magic Orange as a Lead Quality Analyst. At Magic Orange, their roles included identifying usability issues and coming up with suggestions on possible solutions, creating a Test Case repository and managing test cases, positive and negative test execution, training new team members on processes, standards and application, following up on bugs and enhancements that have been logged, assisting in the prioritization of bugs, enhancements and user stories, identifying requirement holes in user stories, identifying necessary tests that would need to be performed for different user stories, investigating automation tools and implementing the best tool for testing of the application, creating an automation prototype, documenting testing processes, guidelines, and creating training material to assist new testers who will join the company, performing upgrade testing, assisting with coordinating User Acceptance Testing, keeping stakeholders up to date with the status of testing, and determining when the quality of the software is ready for releasing live. Additionally, they handled support tickets logged and ensured clients were kept up to date with the progression of their ticket.
