Aaron D. McCarthy

Aaron McCarthy serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Magna International since January 2016, previously holding the role of Vice President of Human Resources. McCarthy is also an Executive Advisory Board Member at FIRST Robotics Canada since January 2021. Prior board responsibilities include tenure at Mantra Tanzania Ltd. and East Africa Resources from 2014 to 2015. Previously, McCarthy was Vice President and Global Head of People & Safety at Uranium One and held various HR roles at Rio Tinto from 2007 to 2013, culminating in the position of Director of Global Recruitment & Support Services. McCarthy's career began in various HR and labor relations roles from 2000 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Commerce from Memorial University, earned between 1996 and 2008.
