Avi Elbaz

With over two decades of experience in the medical device industry, Avi is a broad-based leader with expertise in engineering, manufacturing, business development, strategic planning, and research and development.

Avi’s most recent role was as the Director of Research and Development for Teleflex, Inc., where he led the development of airway products to assist patients. In this capacity, Avi successfully built and led multi-disciplinary teams in manufacturing, engineering, and development by fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence. Under his leadership, the company progressed from concept to commercialization, eventually culminating in a successful acquisition.

He was also responsible for administering and overseeing all company policies, developing long-range goals and objectives, and directing and coordinating activities of cross-functional teams. He played a key role in expanding and managing the company’s patent portfolio.

Avi has a proven track record of success in the development of medical devices, holding multiple, issued product patent, and is a driving force for innovation and design excellence at Magnolia Medical.
