Andrés Curia

Head, Legal & Commercial at Mainstream Renewable Power

Andrés Curia joined Mainstream Chile as Head of the Legal Department in November of 2015. In late 2018, he was appointed as Head of the Legal and Commercial Departments.

Andrés has over 17 years of experience practicing law. He has been working in the energy industry for over 8 years. He was the Head of the Pacific Hydro Chile’s Legal Department where he worked on the development, construction and operation of hydroelectricity and wind energy projects. Prior to this, he worked as a corporate lawyer for CGE Group’s Legal Management, during which time he provided legal advice to the group’s companies for areas such as distribution, sub-transmission and hydroelectricity generation projects. He has led numerous litigation teams and participated in project financing processes, as well as working as a Research Analyst in the London School of Economic’s Centre for Economic Performance.

Andrés has a law degree from the University of Diego Portales and a Masters in International Commercial Law from the University of London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and Finance for Lawyers from the University of Chile’s Faculty of Economics and Finance.
