Job Role System Engineer

Location: Skopje

Reporting to: Head of Platform Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate processes to reduce repetition and work smarter using a DevOps approach.

• Constantly finding ways to work more efficiently and improve our approach.

• Installation and configuration of our software products in customer environments.

• Troubleshoot and debug problems found in the customer’s production and non-production environments.

• Resolving performance problems in customers’ environments.

• Data backup management, scheduling, and reporting.

• Documenting the installation and configuration activities related to customer’s installations such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration documents and design specifications.

Key Outcomes

• Quality and on-time delivery of installation, configuration, debugging and data backups

• Quality and on-time delivery of documentation

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or Computer Engineering

• Knowledge and/or Experience with Configuration Management (Ansible, Chef, etc) would be an advantage.

• Knowledge and/or Experience in Unix/Linux Operating Systems.

• Knowledge and/or experience in Java-based application servers

• Strong troubleshooting skills are required.

• Excellent written and oral English.

• Knowledge of Hardware and Software Load Balancers/Web Servers

• Knowledge and experience with standard monitoring tools would be an advantage

• Knowledge of Databases would be an advantage

• Basic knowledge of a scripting language such as a Python, Ruby or JavaScript would be an advantage.
