Rinko Lucia Maeshima has a diverse work experience in engineering and research. Rinko Lucia started their career at Palpaid Technologies as a Biomedical Summer Research Intern in 2015. Rinko Lucia then worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Carmell Therapeutics from September 2015 to May 2016. In 2016, they had an internship at United Therapeutics as a Biomedical Engineering Intern, specializing in Regenerative Medicine. Following that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Mcgowan Institute from August 2016 to September 2017, where they conducted various investigative and analytical tasks related to iPS-derived hepatocytes and macrophages. Rinko Lucia Maeshima began their education at Stuyvesant High School, where they completed their high school studies from 2009 to 2013. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with University and College Honors at Carnegie Mellon University from 2013 to 2017, specializing in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering. Following their undergraduate studies, Rinko enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering and obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2017 to 2018.

Additionally, Rinko has obtained various certifications in solid modeling software and engineering design. Rinko Lucia became a Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) through Dassault Systèmes in October 2021. Moreover, they completed several courses and acquired certifications related to SOLIDWORKS, including SOLIDWORKS Advanced Assemblies, SOLIDWORKS Advanced Part Design, SOLIDWORKS Essentials for Assembly Design, SOLIDWORKS Essentials for Part Design, and Introduction to SOLIDWORKS. Rinko Lucia also received certifications in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Form and Orientation Controls, as well as GD&T Profile, Location, and Runout Symbols, through SolidProfessor.
