Aleti Philliam

Aleti Philliam is an experienced public health professional with a strong background in laboratory quality assurance and management. Currently serving as a Diagnostics Officer at Malaria Consortium since November 2019, Aleti focuses on enhancing malaria diagnosis through the use of rapid diagnostic tests and microscopy. Previously, Aleti worked as a Public Health Specialist in Laboratory QA at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from March 2014 to November 2019, where quality systems in public health laboratories were established nationwide. Additional roles include Manager of Laboratory Services for Outreach Services at the Infectious Diseases Institute, Project Manager for SCIPHA at Joint Clinical Research Centre, and Lab Head at Joint Clinical Research Centre Gulu RCE. Aleti's educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Health from Clarke's International University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Gulu University, a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Makerere University, and training from Mulago School of Medical Lab Technology.
